How to Redeem an Xbox / Microsoft Store Key
Follow these steps to redeem your code on Xbox or the Microsoft Store.

You need a Microsoft account. Redeem online at redeem.microsoft.com or directly from your Xbox console via the Store app.

Sign in to your Microsoft account
Go to redeem.microsoft.com in your web browser and sign in with the Microsoft account linked to your Xbox profile. You can also redeem directly on your Xbox console.

Enter your 25-character code
Type or paste your 25-character redemption code into the field. The code consists of letters and numbers separated by dashes (e.g., XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX).

Confirm the redemption
Review the product details shown on screen to make sure it matches your purchase. Click "Confirm" to redeem the code and add it to your account.

Download or use your content
For games, go to "My games & apps" on your Xbox console or open the Microsoft Store on PC to download. For gift cards and subscriptions, the balance or membership is applied immediately.
